yoga and dream sequences

a couple of days ago:

it was a wonderful day. we adopted some plants. s5 noted it was like getting new pets. then we went to a beautiful pristine sf nursery with photogenic plants. it was like walking into a catalog. we bought some. and seeds. came back scarfed down some CHERMOULA (said just like that, half bark, half scream) this african spice mix from the gods. you mix the spices with oil, rough up some tofu in it, and sear the hell out of it. it was dee-fucking-licious. there was more tackling of the garden, and that was very satisfactory. all in all, i thought, it was a very good day.

then i got home and got a lovely package from an old college friend, out of the blue! oh i am speechless.i carried it upstairs, stealing little sips of happy glances at it. i didn't want to use it up all the happiness at once. it sat on the kitchen table demurely as i put my stuff away and made myself tea. sipping hot things and with my feet up, i opened it up and it was marvelous. inscrutable, (a picture of elvis's grave?) thoughtful, (a mix cd! and a nice letter!!) and really really sweet. it made my day.

HI ARA JANE. i was just trying to explain the boy crease thing to jeff the other day. a visual aid was necessary.

she rocks. soon there will be a nice surprise for her. maybe you should buy her something!
